Compound leverage allows easier bending of backcheck, bridle, and damper wires. Bends wires side to side with convex/concave jaw combination. Solid hardened steel construction, high quality mechanism with little or no slop in the pivots.

These pliers are quite fairly long at about 8” or 200 mm giving you lots of leverage.

This is the tool we prefer in the RPW shop for bending grand backcheck wires. The jaw curves match perfectly. This tool is much higher quality than is carried by the regular piano supply houses in the USA. (Those will themselves bend when bending wires and the jaws sometimes don’t match).
